Born in Nambour and raised on the Sunshine Coast, Murwillumbah and Hervey Bay, Elka Fern’s journey to becoming a property manager is a tale of passion, family, and dedication. Elka attended Urangan State High School, where she cultivated a connection with the Hervey Bay community.

With half her family from the UK and half from Australia, Elka’s roots spread across continents, but her heart firmly belongs to Hervey Bay. Elka’s interest in real estate sparked during discussions with her partner about investment properties. Her curiosity quickly turned into a passion as she delved into the industry, captivated by its diversity and the dynamic nature of property management. This passion led her to Active Agents, where she found a supportive and close-knit team that aligned perfectly with her values. Hearing glowing reviews about Active Agents within the Hervey Bay community solidified her decision to apply when she saw the position advertised.

Outside of her professional life, Elka cherishes time spent with her partner and friends. Whether it’s camping, beach outings, or e-scooter rides, she embraces the vibrant outdoor lifestyle that Hervey Bay offers. Her love for the community extends to her work, where tenant viewings provide her immense satisfaction. Elka finds joy in witnessing prospective clients visualise their future in a new home and celebrates with them when they are approved.
